Pentair continues to invest in the Lugnano production site near Pisa. In addition to an ultra-modern logistics hall, and a move to modern new offices the company is expanding production capacity at the site. Focus on delivery capabilities and product quality continues to position Pentair as an outstanding supplier for water technology. The green plant remains 100% solar powered.
Pentair, a leader in delivering smart sustainable water solutions to people, business and industry worldwide, has recently completed a modernization of its manufacturing facility in Lugnano, Italy. The facility produces industry-leading pumps, valves and motors for water filtration, water movement and aquatic systems for different Pentair brands as Sta-rite (formerly Nocchi) Fleck, Siata, Autotrol, Simer, Flotec and a number of other Pentair pump, filtration and aquatic system products.
The facility investment included a new automated production line for efficient motors with 30% higher capacity and a new 2,000m2 warehouse that will improve stock management, reduce lead time and down time. The new facility is earthquake-proof and continues to be 100% self-powered via hundreds of photovoltaic panels on the roof. Multiple Pentair business segments were brought together in a newly refurbished modern office building, providing additional space for a state-of-the-art training facility. The new premises were inaugurated on 12 June 2019 by Diane Larkin, VP Operations, Guillaume Gousse, VP Operations EMEAI and Davide Buccieri, Operations Manager at Pentair.
"In addition to the new warehouse, we have created more production space by relocating the existing storage space to the new building and offices to adjacent properties," says Davide Buccieri, Plant Manager Pentair Italy, "The area gained is equipped with automatic production lines and 100% end-of-line test to ensure the excellent quality of our products.”
